KEEP OF KALESSIN Enters Studio To Record New Album
September 27, 2007Alarm Award (Norway) nominees KEEP OF KALESSIN are about to enter the studio to record the follow-up to their highly acclaimed album "Armada". The band took the metal scene by the throat with last year's masterpiece that won a number of accolades in the best publications out there, including top review scores in Metal Hammer and the Norwegian national and regional dailies — Dagbladet (6/6),Bergens Tidende (6/6),Adresseavisen (6/6),Tronderavisen (6/6).
After a gruelling tour schedule — including support slots with high-profile bands like EXODUS, SATYRICON and CARPATHIAN FOREST and appearances at a vast array of summer festivals where KEEP OF KALESSIN shared the main stages with such juggernauts as MOTÖRHEAD, SLAYER and TESTAMENT — the Norwegian extreme metal four-piece is now ready to fire off on all cylinders and record yet another mind-blowing collection of original songs.
Produced by Trondheim-based Rune Stavnesli (KEEP OF KALESSIN, NECROPHAGIA),the follow up to "Armada" promises to be the worthy successor. "This will definately be another amazing album," guitarist Obsidian C enthuses. "It'll be bigger and more epic than 'Armada' and will show us as a much stronger unit."
